PROJECT AND PROGRAM SERVICES

A single point of responsibility for managing your projects.

Our team leads and supports all planning, design, construction, operations, and start-up activities to ensure all resources are comprehensively scoped, procured, managed, and controlled to meet project cost, schedule, and quality objectives.

Project and Program Services is a solution that CSM Group uses to support projects and provide multiple services to clients. These services range from full-service project teams to individual subject matter experts.

Project and Program Services provides clients with the greatest flexibility to staff projects with specific resources, which contracts and funds flow through the client, not CSM Group. CSM Group’s fees are normally built into our Project and Program Service Labor Rates, which are charged hourly, for engagements where CSM Groups has provided Project and Program Services resources to our clients.

Advantages of Project and Program Services:

  • You control the design, contracts, and financials.
  • Services can be provided as comprehensive project teams, or as individuals.
  • You maintain a healthy mix of direct-hire personnel and contractors providing Project and Program Services support.
  • CSM Group’s cost structure is simple and transparent, charged on a time and materials basis.
  • Engagements are nimble with less stringent contractual terms and support durations.
  • The direct cost to you is less for CSM Group to provide project management.
  • The delivery model is ideal for long-term MSA arrangements, where resource needs are variable.

Project Controls

Maintaining control of your project is paramount to success. Project controls serve as the tether that ensures every aspect of a project stays on track. From budget management and scheduling to risk mitigation, effective project controls provide necessary guidance and restraint to prevent scope creep and deviations from the intended course.

Risk & Change Management CSM Group creates customized risk registers to proactively identify and mitigate potential threats to project budgets and schedules. Risks are quantified by type, severity, urgency, and potential cost and presented in a dashboard to aid decision-making.
Document Control Organizing data and information is a critical aspect of running an efficient project controls program. Our document control procedures feature customized workflows for various areas such as change management, cost data, resource data, and drawing management, ensuring effective project controls functions.
KPI Dashboard We integrate various systems with PowerBI to visualize key project metrics like earned value, schedule, and cashflows. Data is gathered from sources such as Primavera P6, SAP, Ariba, Procore, and Excel, providing a comprehensive project overview accessible via a single interface for all stakeholders.
Earned Value Management We integrate data from various sources to monitor and report earned value, using cost and resource-loaded scheduling within work breakdown structures. We track cost, progress, and schedule percentages with minimal variance and identify potential issues quickly.
Cost & Resource-Loaded Scheduling We utilize cost-loaded scheduling to provide cash flow projects for our clients' subcontractors and suppliers, as well as quantifying our own costs. This enables us to plan for cash requirements, establish average run rates, and monitor the variance between forecasts and actuals.
