Confidential EGLE SW Compliance Retention Basin Project

CSM Group executed the project in phases, allowing work to start early due to an aggressive schedule. This helped us identify and procure long lead materials and accelerate the schedule. We helped multiple bid events as the design packages were released, which allowed us to spread the work activities in various trade contracts, accelerating the schedule further with a larger workforce.

CSM Group led multiple bid events on our client's behalf and procured trade contractors. Our team managed bids for one project phase and provided the owner with recommended suppliers for 11 disciplines. The total value of POs issued was $7.1 million.

CSM Group delivered a savings of $929,000 based on a low bid compared to the average bid and our identification of other opportunities to reduce subcontractor costs. CSM Group also supported the development of scope documents for each bid discipline. From the project's inception, we were an active partner in the design process to assist the owner with constructability.

Our scope of work included the installation of a new 1.7-million-gallon flow-through stormwater retention basin and the improvement of the existing stormwater retention basin. This included the installation and automation of a new oil skimmer with sensing technology, basin liner upgrades to the existing basin, new pumping systems, turbidity monitoring, Total Organic Compound (TOC) monitoring, electrical substation building, electrical gear, and the installation of a 1200-lineal-foot high voltage electrical duct bank.
