For the second year, CSM Group has received the Safety Award of Excellence from the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Western Michigan Chapter.
To enhance safety within the construction industry, the Safety Award of Excellence recognizes member companies that demonstrate a steadfast commitment to upholding safety standards and deeply embedding safety values into their organizational culture. This award celebrates those who prioritize the well-being of their employees while adhering to high safety standards.

The process for the Safety Award of Excellence consists of several steps:

ABC contractor members must submit an entry form outlining their safety policies and programs and their injury and illness history and be an ABC STEP Safety Partner.

Members engage in a survey evaluating the safety performance of their peers, where general contractors and construction managers assess trade contractors and vice versa.

The judging panel selects the top three general contractors/construction managers based on these evaluations.

On-site interviews are conducted by the judging panel with finalists to determine the winners in each category.
CSM Group was a finalist alongside Dan Vos Construction and Rockford Construction.
